About Us

The art of ‘Nritya’ (Dance) is like a ‘Maaya’ (Illusion) which creates ‘Ananda’ (Happiness) which is the ultimate goal of  all dancers. Nritya MayaNanda represents my two prominent dance schools of thoughts , i.e. ‘Raasavrunda School of Dance, Mysore’ founded by Smt.Guru.Nandini Eswer (Nanda aunty) and ‘Natya Instittute of Kathak and Choreography, Bangalore’ – founded by Lt.Guru. Dr.Maya Rao (Maya didi) – so Nritya MayaNanda!!

I have always been taught to seek ‘Spirituality through Dance’. It’s the same message that I will try to pass on to my students and I hope/strive to teach them to the best of my knowledge. I consider myself extremely lucky to have been a part of huge institutions like ‘Raasavrunda’ and ‘Natya Institute’. It’s my humble gift to my parent institutions!
